Analysis Group's Beijing office focuses primarily on providing health care research and strategic consulting to our multinational pharmaceutical and life sciences clients as well as to domestic pharmaceutical companies in China. Led by Managing Principal Eric Q Wu, the office collaborates closely with leading Chinese academic researchers including affiliates from Peking University, Tsinghua University and other research institutes, identifies and develops high-quality data with local partners, and designs and presents research studies that meet the needs of decision makers from industry, government, and the scientific community.

 

Analyst Position:
Analysts will gain experience with development of databases and analytic files, programming, a range of data sources (including administrative claims data, clinical trial data, registries, and medical chart data), and drawing inferences from medical literature. Additionally, analysts will learn how to translate the findings from research into implications or recommendations for regulatory and business decisions.

 

Essential Hiring Conditions, Duties and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to carrying out the following to the satisfaction of the company and the supervisor:

  • Perform independent and directed economic and statistical analyses, using spreadsheets and statistical programming in SAS, Stata and other programs
  • Examine market and industry behavior through targeted research
  • Review and summarize reports and client documents
  • Assist in the preparation of expert reports and other client deliverables
  • Create visual or graphic presentation of findings from quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Prepare reports and presentation materials
  • Prepare well documented and cross referenced work papers providing the support and bases for analyses and opinions
  • Provide reliable quality control

Basic Hiring Conditions and Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in biostatistics, economics, epidemiology, health economics, health policy, mathematics, public health, statistics or related subjects, with 0-3 years' work experience
  • Experience or a strong interest in applying quantitative methods to real-world research problems in the life science industry
  • Demonstrated analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in at least one statistical programming language (e.g., SAS, Stata, R) is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • A commitment to teamwork and collaborative problem solving
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A desire to continuously learn and develop professionally
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin
  • Holds a passport issued by the Government of China Mainland / Hong Kong / Macau / Taiwan
